Report: The 2008 Hawaii Salsa Fest!

Last year's Hawaii Salsa Fest (the first) was fantastic, but this year's was even better. The event organizers work very hard to make it enjoyable to ALL LEVELS of dancers.

Six 'Salsa with Tomaj' people showed up…and we hooked up at the first "pool party', just as the sun was setting over the blue pacific.  We had a stellar view of the ocean and sky as we danced to great music on the roof-top deck.

We danced at the evening parties, watched great performances, and took classes for 3 days.  (Of course, I also went swimming and sunbathing everyday….)

This event is geared toward the dancers, not the performers.  ALL of the classes are Beginner to Intermediate level, and most of the people are at that level.

One of the things I like about THIS event over other Salsa "Congresses", is that there are not long hours of performances to sit through.  There are some great shows, but they are over in an hour.

LET ME SAY THIS AGAIN:  I would recommend this event - OVER ANY OTHER - to all my students and friends.  It's inexpensive, FUN, FRIENDLY, and full of all levels of dancer.

Don't make the mistake of missing it again.  Stay tuned:  They've booked an even better venue next year!

    See YOU there?
